Thread: As a novice how on earth do i get XP it Level up?
No, you're supposed to sell every MSE you make. /end bull****
I did the grind of MSEs until advanced blueprints, then its adv droid frames, baby, so save your fiberplast and steel.
Mouse droids until you can make an advanced frame, find what tree that is in and get to that fast. Then expect to burn through literally tons of Steel/Fiboplast.
Thats right, every advanced frame uses 150 Steel 70 Fiboplast, takes 30 seconds to make, and exp is 450 or soa pop. Now if you have 20K+ stell and 10K+ fiboplast, make yourself 4 Droid/Weapons crafting tools. Since each frame takes 30 secs, as soon as you finish build on 4th crafter, 1st has hit 0 and you can start the sequence again.
1800 exp every 30 secs, not bad eh???
But, you are using 600 steel and 280 Fiboplast every 30 seconds. At that rate you can burn though 20K steel in 30 mins easily. Figure in a 7% crit failure rate ( and man did i curse up a storm every time i had 2 crits in a row, 300 steel wasted) and you will get about 2.8 exp points for every 1 unit of steel you use.
So set up those steel and fiboplast harvesters now, and get ready to make a few thousand advanced frames. Oh yeah and welcome to the most useless profession in the game at the moment ![]()
I'm pretty sure you get the experience for a critical failure. Unless they changed it, i used to get it all the time. And yes the advanced frames rule. BTW dont use factories to grind, i found out the hard way when i was wondering why i was only leveling once per week. I leveled 3 times this way. All high level boxes.
I like Manipulator Arm packages for xp gain myself
Bit less xp for making one (i think around 320 per) and more clicks, but it spreads the resource drain out a bit more, being as you use a variety of materials, instead of lots of just two
You do have to have a decent supply of extrusive ore on your hands though
but you wind up draining your metals a bit less, and that may work better for folks who don't have the ability to collect mass quantities of steel
Boy that FAQ stickied at the top sure does get some use... NOT.
Grinding:
Q: What is the best item to grind to reach Novice DE?
The generally accepted "best grind items" are: Bone armor chestplates, Travel Packs
Q: What is the best item to grind after I reach Novice DE?
You will have to grind mouse droids. There is no real way around it because there are no other options at Novice DE.
Your first skill box pick should be blueprints 1. This will allow you to make Seeker Droids for BHs, to start your cash inflow.
From this point, you should make mouse droids and seekers until you get the experience needed for Blueprints 2. BP2 has the item you will be grinding until you reach Master DE, the advanced droid frame unit.
Q: Should I grind up to Master Artisan?
This really depends on your playstyle. About 75% of the droids you will be making later in your DE career will require items from the Master Artisan skill box. An example: The Probot requires a micro sensor suite (MA), which requires both a control unit (MA), and an electonics GP module (MA).
