Thread: New CH changes are an improvement for DEs already...

If they adjust the critters down a lot or up the probot this would be good. Except they are changing combat as well. No longer will your probot always tank for you. As a crafter I used a bot and pet to help me when running my harvevsters. Without them I will be spending a whole lot more time on my back .. just because I usea rifle and every critter can in cap me in 5 hits or less.
The way I read it is they *will* tank, but they may *sometimes* figure out that the master is pulling the strings and come after you. I'm hoping the chances of this scale up with the difficulty of the pet, so at probot / CL10 creature level the chance is fairly low but when I giant CL50 pet is going after a creature, that creature will more likely go after the master to try and pull the pet out of the fight. Either way, so long as it doesn't happen all the time I'm ok with it as its quite necessary to balance the CH profession against the other elite combat classes.

Mallathar, You can call up to 3 faction pets at a time.
At least I can call three storm commandos at a time anad have no CH abilities.
Just posted this one else where on the DE forum, but I'll add it here as well........
This line.....* Non-creature handlers limited to level 10 pets (currently it is 15)....makes me happy since that means that Probots are now the only non-CH pet that will be able to tank in the game, since Rock Beettles and Kervols will not be un-usable to the masses.
However, I'm sort of leary by this line..... * Non-creature handlers get 1 active pet max, regardless of type (faction perk, creature, droid or mount).
From what I'm reading here faction pets are being reduced to 1 instead of the current 3 that can be called and they count as the 1 pet that can be called. If this is the case, then I forsee a large jump in players joining a faction, so that they can have something that can take more damage than a Probot, do more damage, and be healed, in the case of something like a Storm Commando.
Either way though, Probot sales will increase if this idea gets pushed as it is, regardless of what changes are instore for the DE porofession, which is good in my book.
But, taking this into account:
* Non-creature handlers get 1 active pet max, regardless of type (faction perk, creature, droid or mount).
I take this to mean we're not going to get the ability to have more than one out at once, which means we'll still have to hope we come across someone else with a repair-module-equipped droid to repair our own droids.
And what happens to my cowardly gurreck? He made furnishing my house with Rebel faction points easier... ![]()
