yeah, me too.

I bought an Adv. Surgical Droid (cos i get lonely sometimes in camp at night), and, I dont seem to be able to heal wounds outside of camp/med center.

I found a MDE and asked them if I was doing something wrong, and they mentioned it sounded like my droid didnt have any medical modules installed. Checking various boards before I bought the droid, some of them said an Adv. Surgical Droid acts as if all Medical modules have been installed.

So, is my droid missing something? I dont see any healing stats when I look at the droids info in the datapad.

help?

If your droid does, in fact, have med capability (check the datapad, look for "Medical Rating: nnn"), it's probably a power issue. Buy some batteries, and recharge it.

There have been reports of the recharging not working. I don't know that they have been verified. Maybe try storing/calling, and then recharge again?

We believe this is how the Surgical was supposed to work. However, this is not currently how it is. A surgical droid needs a medical module installed, just like any other droid.

Just wanted to point that out to avoid any further confusion...

Getting intermittent reports of medical modules not functioning on newly-crafted droids... happened on a Surgical and Protocol. Crafted droids again and the med modules worked.

What the?

On another note, keep in mind you HAVE to have skills in the medical profession in order to make use of medical modules. I didn't see anyone posting that they were medics. I have had to turn down many offers due to the fact that the person requesting the Medical Droid, did, in fact, have no medical skill whatsoever.

The people coming back to me are definitely skilled - I had them use test MSE droids with the same medical modules and they worked just fine... then crafted new droids for them and those also worked fine.

Fun.

Also had a customer come back to me with a non-functional chem/food station in a surgical droid. Performed similar tests with MSE droid... module functioned just fine... replaced the surgical for him... worked just fine.

Bugs like this are really annoying!

As the owner of a medical droid I have had my share of issues but it seems to come down to the fact that you can only use it outside of building to cure wounds. I can stand outside the cantina and heal someone but if I bring the droid inside I get the you must be in a camp or med center to heal wounds message. But if you just step outside you can be a healing fool (like me).

Okay here is the deal. I ran into the same problem. My R2 Droid has Medical Capability Raing of 110. I pulled him out and healed some people and boosted my stats. All of the sudden he wouldn't heal anymore.

So I Stored him and Called him out again. Same deal, no heals. But I was able to craft and experiment with him. When I gave him a movement command he said *low power*.

Plain and simple, after recharging him with a Droid Battery he started working again. So they have made it where you can't Store and Call Droids anymore. I even tested my Probot. Same thing happened.

This is why I give a battery away with every custom order now ...
