I will keep calm. I am a willow in the wind. I can bend without breaking. I will keep calm.

After getting a couple rather emotional posts deleted, I am going to keep this one low-key. Honest.

Here area few bullets to mull over. They are not ment to antagonize anyone. They are just a couple points to help you focus, and hopefullydisapate your rage.

    • This publish is the "Droid Invasion." Regardless of how much it actually has to do with droids.

    • SOE will change what ever it pleases to, regardless of player input. We can only hope that what pleases us also pleases them.

    • Ultimately, it is our choice to play the game. For me to leave now would hurt SOOO bad, but it's still our choice.

Bottom line? Chill. Have a look after Publish 7. Recover, revell, regroup, retrain, remove, retreat or rejoice. Whatever. Just remember, It's SOE's ball, and they get to do what ever they want with it.

You forgot...."Remember how to get to the "Cancel subscription" button".

Someone better let them know that their ball is deflating...they will do what they want, as long as it works in the confines of keeping current users or gaining more. In that regard, they really do have to listen to how the ball gets built (and if they don't, then this thing is already doomed).

While SOE Certainly seems to respond to screaming and yelling, It really needs to have volume behind it to be effective. Ultimately, crafters in general, and DEs in particular make up a small percentage of the subscribers.

  • Reality: SWG is a money making venture for SOE, and pays many salaries.

  • Reality: SWG is a passtime for me, even though I have gotten WAY to emotional about it at times.

Sure, we make up a small portion of the players...but is it not our creations which run this game? I know a commando is no good without a weaponsmith. I know a miner is no good without an architect. I know many people could not be as effective in PvP or on offbeat planets without Buffs using stims created by Docs.

Every profession in this game is entwined into each other. But, when there are big, gaping holes, a small tear can form and that tear can rip it in half, causing it to be nothing but another piece of garbage. So, they have to patchup the holes.. Some holes are bigger than others. Can you point out the largest ones?

By droid engineers attempting to get our profession to be more in the game, it really doesnt help us. Battle droids help combat players. Utility droids help other crafters. Much of what we each propose in this forum is more aimed toward making this game more fun for everyone. To me, combat classes should be barking up a different tree. Rather than ranting in their combat profession forum that their weapons are not as good as they should be, they should be going to the weaponsmith forum and posting there to get better weapons.

- Account: Master TKA (cancelled)
- Account: Master Doctor (cancelled)
- Account: Smuggler (cancelled)
- Account: Master Chef (cancelled)
- Account: Master Droid Engineer (activity suspended pending developments)
Total loss of annual revenue (SOE): ~$715US to ~$900US
- Bad press: Priceless
Should Sony and Lucas Arts be worried? (15000 users * 5 accts = ~$13MIL in potential lost gross annual revenue) If I were the CEO for either LA or SOE, I would certainly be worried.
