"Droids - astromechs, speficially - will have a very real impact on the performance of your personal spacecraft. Droids will be able to modify specific attributes of your spacecraft. For example, while in space you will be able to teach your droid to increase your throttle. When you then ask the droid to do so, you will see the maximum speed of your craft visibly increase. Increases of this type will also mean that some other attribute will probably be lowered to compensate for that increase. So increasing speed may mean lowering shields or weapon strength. The total list of effects a droid can have on your ship was not able to be shared at this time..."
