First look at the description in your datapad. There should be a line about structure maintance in the list of guarinteed features. The droid has to be in your datapad but does not have to be out. Then go to a structure that you own or have Admin rights to and bring up it's radial menu. Under the structure maint list you will find an 'asign droid' option. Select that. A window will appear with the names of each of the droids you have in your datapad that have a working struct maint ability. Click on the one you want to maintain the structure. A droid can maintain up to 9 for you.

Warning: There were quite a few made by DEs that were broken. You can tell by looking at the list of features before you buy to find a line about structure maintance.

Warning: do NOT delete a structure without FIRST removing it from the list of structures the droid is maintaining or you will break the droid.

To edit the list and or do maintance you call the droid and use its radial menu to bring up struct maint tasks. one is to edit the list the other is to do a 'run' If you do not remove a structure from the list using edit feature before you remove the structure from the world you will break the droid and the edit and run screens will no longer show up. The radial menu will.

If I might ask somedumb questions, what do the structure maintainence droids DO, exactly? Do you load them with credits so they pay the maintanence costs for you. Do they repair the structure negating the need to pay maitaience? What is the difference between the three levels that exist for maintanace structure repair moduals?
