I used to be a MDE on the Bloodfin server based in Tatooine. I was damn good at waht I did for a living but grew a little tired of

all the hours of crafting and finding resources. So, I have ventured into the world of combat.

Ididn't reallygo out hunting to often before now so I never saw Fort Tusken. I have now and it is a great place to visit and kill a few

dirty Tusken's......anyway's......

I always use my trusty R3 Combat Droid or my Probot Droid to help me out when hunting. The droids are great. I don't know what I would have done without them. They will attack my enemy and even chase my enemy if I so desire. I find the R3 Droid to be the best droid to use in combat overthe Probot Droid. But they both are pretty closed matched, just the R3 has a bit more HAM and the combat rating is a bit higher due to the extra combat mod you can add to it.

I just wanted to know as I never really used these items before now being a MDE you don't get alot of time to go out and try every item on the list. So, regarding the Droid Repair Kit and the Droid Reconstruction Kit. I know the Droid Repair kit will heal my R3's Ham when in a battle just like a StimPack will heal a character when Ham is low. But, what does the Droid Reconstruction Kit do?? Will it heal my droids vitality?

Hhhhmmmmmmmmm.......

Oh ya, another thing...... I am the only person I have seen so far on the Bloodfin server to use droids in battle......

Someone needs to advertise there great use or something.......

I think they work like a charm........ I just got my Pistol VI thanks to Fort Tusken and my R3.

The recon kits are only usable by a DE and they heal a droid's wounds (black bar). A non-DE will need to either take his droid to a DE, or have a friend with a droid that has a repair mod. You can also be near a droid with an auto-repair module.

To the best we can tell, these were put in to address our complaint that DEs can't repair our own droids since we can't have out more than one at a time.

A lot of DEs tend to sell by order only. I'd try looking in the usual places like Coronet and Theed. I spent several days with my alt on Shadowfire looking for a combat droid to try out.

I think most players just haven't gotten used to having a useful droid yet. The new ones are arguably just as good as the old pre-nerfs that were selling for several hundred thousand credits just a few weeks ago. I'm really afraid that part of the problem is pricing. Higher level players don't have much use for a combat droid (or certainly not more than one)and the newer players can't afford to spend 50-100k for one. This is probably going to get worse with the new "helper" droids all characters can get. Why buy a droid for RP purposes when you can get one that actually talks to you (granted he doesn't say anything interesting) for free?

I think this latest series of patches were just to keep us hanging on till the SE comes out. I expect our astromech sales will jump quite a bit then.
