Thread: Wow Droid Batteries, Who knew?
Thats why I charge 10k per crate.
When you get tired of running that many crates per week, just raise the price slowly and it will level off to where you don't have to do that much more work, but you still get the same amount of money.
Another thing you can do, is run around your area to see if there are any other Droid Vendors. A lot of the time, these are meagerly Stocked, and rarely have Battery Crates. 10K is not to much when you are getting2 -4 Charges * 25
As far as the copper is concerned, I got lucky. I mined 250K of it hoping to use it for combat modules and weapons components. But, it was just not good enough. However, it does make batteries that just barely hit 4 charges.
So I have 100K of this left to use just for batteries (usually I reserve copper that has no other uses for droid brains, EGPs and EMMs, but this copper just made the grade as far as batteries go).
I also have 150K of another copper I mined that is only useful for batteries. As far as the factory runs are concerned, its not that big a deal. 6500 copper, 2500 ore, and let it run over night. I empty the factory over the next few days, once empty I just rerun batteries before I log.
The funny thing is, I check my competition all the time (DEs on Gorath). I rarely if ever see batteries for sale. Then again 80%of the droid vendors have 0 droids, or thevendors thatdo have droids, still have the pre-patch models on them. So my steady business may be due to lack of competition.
I charge 1K per droid customization kit (7 uses)
Those are the best seller on my vendor.
Next is combat probot and Musician/Dancer droids.
I plan to put some repair kit too, but they're just too much pain to build, I want a full stock of droids first.
Also trying to figure out price for crates of BH droids.
For the person that said it was 10 CPU, to have 4 charges, you need more than 900 conductivity metal(copper I think), not cheap.
Besides, to make crates, you need a factory, that cost power and money, and need a couple of days to make 1000 batteries.
Compared to ID that charge 10-50K for 5 minutes of their time, and nothing else, I consider it cheap (and 50 per charge is the comon price, and in line with usual maintenance cost of structures).

I charge 200 per charge also, and that makes each 4-use battery cost 800 creds, a crate for 20k. I use 1000cd metal in them usually, and I refuse to sell them for less than I could get for the raw resources. They sell steadily but slowly. Fine by me since I hate doing factory runs all dat every day.
I got 4 charges with some copper that was ~880 CD.
