I am planning on purchasing a droid and am not too certain about the class and what I can get.
Is there a droid that acts as a good tank (over 40 resists, med armor, better than the advanced probot) that can have medical capability and food/chemical crafting station? What are good HAM rates for the droid I am looking for?
I am on Shadowfire and would gladly throw my buisness someone's way once I get these few questions answered.
Thanks.
no such thing as good battle droid.
Can someone please give me a good ANSWER to the question that I asked. Yes I realize that no droid will be as good as about 90% of pets, but nonetheless I would like to own one. I dont play this game to be a 1/1/0/0 CH with Commando mastered like everyone else out there. I like to be at least alittle different.
Anyways any answers would be appreciated.
We cant, the ADV Probot is the BEST droid we have.. Its not like we are unwilling to make better, WE CANT ITS THE BEST WE GOT! WE CAN'T BUILD BETTER!
Understand now?

Hey PSKstang,
The Advanced Probot with its 820 HAM and 50 attack damage is the best 'combat' Droid that a Droid Engineer can make. What I've started to suggest to anyone that comes to me looking for a Combat droid is this, 'Get two or more of them.'. The reason behind this is simple, if you can make a camp when out in the wilds, once one Probot is damaged beyond recognition make a camp and pull out the next one. I, as a Mater DE, run around with 2 Probots in my Datapad and 2 Rock Beetles. I can spend about 10 minutes in combat, going after many different Aggro Creatures on Talus, without taking a scratch personally. 9 times out of 10, the Probot out lasts the Rock Beetle, which has Light Armor and a lot more HAM than the Probot. When both of my Tanks go down, I simply call out the second wave. This may not be the best solution, but if you are looking for the ability to seriously gain some XP from killing creatures, this combo is the way to go.
If you're interested in gettinganother Probot, or when the faithful day comes that more combat Droids are intorduced, send Drashk a /tell, or stop by my shop that is, almost, always fully stocked. I'm located just south of Bestine on Tatooine at -500 -4300, only 1k out of town. Even if you don't come want to buy another Probot, at least come and take a look at my newly forming shopping center.
Yes, you CAN get a 40% medium armored droid that has both medical and food-chem crafting in it. 110% medical being the max and the 40% medium armor being max.
I think the previous post is the best use of probots. There best used as tanks to keep the agros off of you while you kill them. And they do last longer than a Rock Beetle even with it's 2200 HAM. Three probots, 2 pets and you are good to go.
I find it interesting that people only look at HAM and damage. All non-CH players are limited to one pet out. I think they are missing out when they don't see the advantages of having a second pet out. Also depending on what you want, a probot may be an even more ideal hunting partner than a pet. Since they do less damage they take away less of your weapon/combat XP.
