Im NOT a DE but I want to buy from one! However I dont get a choice. I can buy a 3200 HAM pet or buy your best probot.....hmmm think I'll choose the pet. Im giving you the buyers point of view. To me buying a bot is a waste of money since all I do is combat. Is there any plans for droids to be on par with pets? Id much rather have a floating bot than some **edit** goat or tiger thing like everyone and thier sister.

In our estimation Droids will NOT change for 2-3 months at best.

And that is a conservative view.

Yup, what they said. It sucks, we know it, but the sad thing is we can't estimate changes for quite awhile.

So for now, whip out that Tiger and enjoy the Star Wars universe.

My probot is definitely better than either my rock beetle or my cowardly gurreck. It can't dish out that much damage but can take a pounding--over time it's damage adds up. Besides, with both it and a pet out at the same time I can handle quite a bit in combat.

I tested my probot with medium armor 40% resists vs. my cowardly gurreck.

I aggroed dire cat lair and had 5 of them beating on my gurreck and he died with only 3 of the dire cats dead.

I repeated the above and aggroed 5 dire cats and the probot killed all 5 and was at 1/2 health.

CONCLUSION: Probot still wins and i'm happier than my non-ch pet was.

Your missing the beauty of probots... They don't count as pets, they count as droids. You can have a pet AND a probot out at the same time. Admidedly probots damage sucks, but with medium armor and 40% resists, they will actually tank BETTER than a 3200ham Cowardly Gurreck (I have both, I've seen the different)

With the level 4 armor available for probots, it's not the HAM that's a problem, but rather the attack damage. A probot, built with level 4 armor modules, has medium armor with an additional 40% effectiveness. This means that it takes 70% of the damage inflicted upon it. (I believe. Right?) This makes the HAM the equivalent of about 2700. Now, considering thatmany attacks are madewith NO armor piercing ability, then the medium armor of the probot, with 40% additional effectiveness, give it the effective HAM of about 4650. (Right? Please correct me if my numbers are wrong.)

One more thing I want to add: The probot does not count against the number of pets you can have out, so it can be used to take the damage of the attack, while your more powerful pets and weapons can attack without taking damage.

the real beauty of the probot lies in the good armor and LOW ATTACK. By this i mean if it is dealing less damage and tanking better than a lvl 15 pet, that means you get more combat experience because you are doing more damage. And he is taking the beating. And they are reletively cheap. But if you arent grinding for combat xp then the pet does the good damage and he stays in the back doing pin prik attacks that are just that much more damage added on to yours.
