Thread: More droid questions

Well, I bought my first probot last night. I've got it programmed and I'm starting to get comfortable using it. However, I've got a couple of questions that I haven't been able to find answers to.

First off, where the heck do I find batteries? I searched the bazaar up and down and couldn't find anything that said batteries or droid power cells or anything like that. I found that storing the droid in my datapad seemed to recharge it so I'm fine for now but I need to know how to recharge it in emergencies.

Secondly, the probot I bought only has 15% resists so I'm assuming it doesn't have a very good armor pack installed. Is it possible to install better armor or is that something that has to happen at the time the droid is built?

Last, is there a way to repair the droid between fights or do I just have to wait for it to repair itself over time?

Thanks!

For some reason or another I believe batteries are under misc on the bazaar. I never put them on there because they are so hard to find.

Unfortunatly, you are stuck with that armor unless you buy a new probot with 40% resists med (best out there at this moment)

Just have to wait, Im a driod engineer so of course I do this, but I have 2 probots that I rotate out. One heals and one fights, then I swap when one dies, usually they can get pretty close to healed this way depending on use.

Rats. I figured the armor couldn't be upgraded. I couldn't tell from the deed which armor pack it was using so I just decided to chance it. Oh well, I guess I need to find an engineer on Chilastra that I can custom order from. It won't hurt to have a second droid anyhow.

Batteries can be made by anyone with Engineering 2 if I'm not mistaken. I would either mail the person who made the droid to see about getting a upply of batteries or possibly as a novice artisan if they'd be will to make a batch for you. If I remeber correctly the only stat that really matters in a batteries construction in Conductivity. The hight that stat is on the raw material (usually copper) the more charges on the battery (up to 5 I think).

Armor as well as all other modules must be placed in the droid during the cunstruction process so unfortunatly there is no way currently to upgrade a droid, just need to buy a new one.

You just have to wait for the droid to heal. If he takes a DB and looses vitality you can use a vitality pack made by a BE to restore the vitality but it will loose over all vitality. All the same rules as for a CH pet meaning wait till the vitality drops to 75 or less, then get one good vitality pack that will heal more than the 25 or so points required to get it back to 100. Example, droid is at 75/100, vpack it and it'll become 99/99 or 98/98. You don't want to use a lesser rated vitality pack as you loose total vitality per application of a pack.
