I've noticed that you can buy various (mainly Astromech) Droid schematics by 'spending' Faction Points with a Rebel/Imperial recruiter.
Not being a DE, would I still be able to make a droid if I had the schematic?
I assume that I'll still have to find a Master Artisan/DE in order to get some of the parts still.

I've not seen the "faction award" schematics, so I can't answer this with absolute certainty...
However.. IF the schematics are the same or similar to the standard DE schematics, you will need a ton of DE/MA parts to build the things. The final combo on a droid, which produces the deed, is roughly 20% raw materials and 80% droid components.
My advice.. if you're serious about going into full-scale droid production for your faction, make REALLY good friends with a DE, and buy droid components by the crate.. ![]()

Yes, you can build a droid using those schematics... but unless you were a DE, you would be unable to build all the parts needed to build the droid.

You're better off finding a DE and buying it with the money you earned getting that faction...
