Sorry to ask this if it's been covered numerous times before, but I've been looking for information on how to make display models and can't find anything specific. Can someone either point me to some information, or post it here in this thread? I'd like to make a handful of display models to compliment my vendor. New to the DE prof so it's quite possible I'm just missing something terribly obvious. Thanks for any info.

Sorry, chassis was the correct word :/ Guess a 'noob' shouldn't try to help out, haha.

You have to make the Advanced Frame of the droid you want to display. Not all are able to be made/displayed.

So just make the deed then? Say a deed for an R4, advanced model? Etc.. I haven't made many droids individually yet, but at some point in the crafting process it must ask if I want to make it a display model then? For some reason I thought display models were just empty shells.

You want to make an Advanced Chassis.The Advanced Chassis is used to produce advanced droid deeds.The Advanced Chassis is a dropable that can be fully customized, just like a droid, but is not the finish product.

No, not the deed. Look at the components required for an advanced R4, advanced R2, or other advanced model mid-to-upper-level droid. The 'base chassis' components are the ones you want.
What you need to make is an item called 'Protocol ADV Droid chassis' or 'R2 ADV Droid Chassis', or whatever for the particular kind of droid you're making. These items are just about as complicated to make as the base models of the same kind of droid.

Ahh, I see, thank you very much. Didn't see those in my tool because I've been using generic tools. Duh. Thanks everyone.
