Any info on these ?

Sigma so they are draft schematics and not experimental schematics?

So does this mean a non-DE who bought a faction droid schematic could make that droid with just the resources and a crafting tool (i.e. not need a factory)

Doesnt look like it, and I've read plenty ot threads of people asking this very same question and not get a reply

I got one in Beta, and unless they changed it (Idoubt it), they were next to worthless. They're the exact same schematics that we get naturally in the Blueprints line. They even require the same components. So it's not good to get these.....

In one of my less bright moments, I bought a rebel faction, R5 droid schematic. (I say less bright because I thought I was getting the DEED, not the schematic... Live and learn.)

Now, I have this schematic, I happen to be a crafter, although not a droid engineer. If I find a DE who isn't bitter and will craft me the parts, can I make this R5? Is there anything more I need to know about this? I'd be happy with "my own pet R5" that I earned through loyal service, yadah, yadah, yadah.

droid schematics are good for one reason...de's that want a schematic that he doesn't have yet...these are very good because they super boost their xp for creating something very high at low level. Don't be afraid of handing it over but do exchange it for a droid or creds. The de can craft it. but he needs the materials to do so. So check out the schematic. also if you want to try it attempt at crafting and see if you get droid crafting xp...gather the materials and craft with a droid weps and whatnot crafting station near one of the larger droid crafting stations. enjoy.

Has anyone purchased one of these yet? Is the droids appearance any different than a standard schematic? I am a Wookiee Imperial (yeah yeah I know...) and these things would cost me a ton of faction points to purchase. I am just wondering if the droids are cool or if it really isn't worth it. Thanks fellas.

Also, Does this mean you have to be overt to use the Droid? With faction pets i believe you have to be overt all the time to keep them out.

Along the same line of questioning, Does anyone know if you buy the rebel faction backpack do you have to remain overt; or do you have to pull the "die and clone" trick?

I too am very interested in what the factional droid schematics produce. Surely someone has tried this already.

Someone posted on this a while ago having tried to buy one. Since they were already a DE (and thus already had the schematic in question) it wouldnt let them buy it (but it didnt deduct the faction points either)

From this we can deduce that they are just normal draft schematics (as opposed to experimental ones) and so shouldnt be any different from the ones you get as a DE (so basically they would appear to only be any use to a non-DE with artisan skills who never plans on becoming a DE - or someone who has decided not to move beyond a certain blueprint level and wants to make additional droids)

Of course none of this is confirmed....

heh i think everyone is afraid too.. as they are so expensive.. Imps are saving up for ATST's.. Rebs uses there FP to get heavy weapons specilists to go against ATSTS...

When he says "thank the maker", I think he meant - thank the maker who made (in this case the oil bath he was getting) and not who made him.
