Thread: What's a good price to buy a +1 Droid Experimentation skill tape for?

I'm wondering what these generally go for, I'm thinking about buying one, is it worth it for a +1, does it add another experiment point?

as my friend mira said.. you will need +10 for 1 extra exp point.. the cap is +25 so you can only get 2 exp points... +1 will do nothing and would be useless until you can get at elast another +9 ... so most of the time its worth 20k at most

Unfortunately I see them going for 100k per point. That really sucks in my opinion. It's far to expensive.

Is there any specific place or NPC's that you can get tapes from?
I haven't looted one in a long time, but I usually take swooper missions.

Most skill tapes tend to go for around 10K in game on my server (Valcyn) People may be jacking up the prices on the tapes with the new patches coming up. I've not seen a need for more points except on the repair kits because usually there's only 1 line you need to experiment on.

It's sort of a geometric progression. +1 experimentation tapes generally sell for 10-20k tops, but once they get up into the +4 or +5 range they sell for 1 million per point fairly easily.
The problem is that you only have so many slots for skill tapes. A +1 tape does very little to help get you to the max of +25, but it uses up one of those valuable tape slots. That's why they're not worth much.
