Thread: A slight annoyance.

Wish they'd get things in their right orders... R5s are top of the line... R2s are old as dirt if I remember correctally. And they were supposed to go in numerical order for release. (R2, R3, R4, R5). Shouldn't new droids be of superior make and be better all around? If you look at it from a manufacturing difficulty standpoint,R3s should really be R5s, R2s should be R4s, R4s should be R3s, and finally R5s should be R2s. They implemented the R series upsidedown and backwards it seems.

Not necessarily... It seems some of the higher R models were introduced later indeed, but as downscale versions of the older models. Essentially economy lines.

And they had to make the R2's pretty nice - people buy that chasis often because of a certain well known blue and white R2.....
