I looted a power core off an npc(swooper leader), and decided to make a power droid, seeing how power cores are expensive and hard to come by. Well it didnt even show up as available for use. I tried moving it from my inventory to my input hopper and that didnt work. Power cores as you know are expensive and hard to come by. It has to be a bug otherwise it makes it useless as loot. And yes i did report it

Examine that power core.

You will find it listed as "A power core with obsolete couplings".

I think it is for assembling something for the story arc.

You see, it's a 'power core', but what you need is a 'power core unit'.

I had one of those, and that is exactly the description given when you examine it. The one I got off a swooper said EXACTLY what I quoted above.

I am betting those are the loot drop ones.

Yeah, the looted ones are power cores and we need power core units.

What you looted was a power core for a Deadeye decoder, used in the second mission of the chapter 2 rebel badge quest. I made several of them while doing that mission (only needed one, made more than one to sell....)

You will, as far as I know, never loot a component that you can use to craft your droids. I could be wrong, of course.Crystals and krayt pearls and krayt tissues are all loots used in crafting non-quest items, but I've never heard of anything dropping fordroid crafting.

Was it crafted?

DE isn't the only profession that has holo-chasers in it.

Could it be something that someone dumped on the bazzaar just to recop some losses?
