I got a bit pissy on page 2 of the thread, but they didn't close it until page 4 after it turned into a Dev hate post from a lot of people. Seems they all end up that way. Here is what JustG had to say:

Hi. We ARE focussing on Droid Engineers. I am not sure what is happening in the next publish, but January will see low and mid-level combat droids, and February will see some serious high level ones.

We are still hashing out our schedule for the next four months, but I am going to take a gamble and post as much of it as I can after I have signoff from everyone involved.

Thanks, DE's, for your patience. I hope we can make it up to you.

What do you think? I hope he is being honest about this. Any kind of change on test center yet?

LOL, no faith? Are you apower leveled MDE who did it in record time? I have been beating my head for 3 months for something truly worthy of a Master Engineer to make. I still have the same broken stuff with CH's eating all my business even though I came into the game thinking droids were Star Wars. My Master level droids have nothing over any other droid down the ladder (unless you count making BLL's, which really aren't a droid...just a decoration). Sure, we get the R3, but the R2 is just as good if you have any of the ULTRA rare Lidium Ore to play with (I still got 300 units of the stuff and I consider myself a lucky SOB to have it).

I am a droid engineer because that is how I saw Star Wars as a universe. Droids and Starships are the heart of the Star Wars universe andThe DE issubverted to lower class citizen for some reason.

If JustG is honest in his statement, I can be a happy lamer for having lived with the pain for so long. If not, I am a sucker a bit longer.

I was one of the first 3 droid engineers on chilastra. Castorius and some other guy beat me. I've been more tha patient. Tired of seeing all the ATST walking around while I putt around with a stupid Poopbot.

Roflmao!!! That was funny.

My friends all tell me why do I bother withthis class and I am missing out on the fun of the game. I still like it alot though even if it is broke d$ck. They just need some individuality with it so you can play the game and get to the point were people go " I am buying so and so's droid cause his look cool or do this that or the other.

I have to admit, I am sucked in by the more combat droids thing! Mabee they will have those ones with the shields and rapid fire guns that were in the new star wars movies! I mean holy sh$t what is cooler then havin your droid roll around behind you in a ball until you say "kill" and like a jack in the box, it pops out and blasts that crazed durni into a butterball coma!

I have seen the post and I will wait to see what happens before passing judgement. A lot of the others in my PA have left the DE profession, where once I was the 5-6th in line of DE's, I am now one of 2 MDE's in my PA.

Hopefully hanging on will bear some fruit in January.

Never, ever seen a post by a Dev with any sustance in it (in this forum at least). Course if you are a CH you get posts that run into pages.

Tamers from UO is what they are - and always will be. I never believe Dev posts anymore, especially JustG - cheeky monkey that he is - to paraphrase him 'speak to us nicely or you get absolutely nothing'- talk about ego-tripping. nevermind - he's new and wet behind the ears I think. maybe his mom bill buy him some long pants soon.

Did we get a profession mission statement - no

Do they love us - no

Will we fight the good fight? - well I will..but thats because I know the game cannot be a financially viable game without Droids...not in the long run. Players dont like having to have creatures - live the DE life for a week and your customers tell you this over and over again.

Pisht to UO Tamers..eventually your beloved 'creatures' will be what they should be, and Droids will be also..time for the tide to turn eh?

Constructively - I wish Greywolf was here. He understood boards.
