I found a clothing enhancment tape thing with +1 Droid Complexity.

A- Is there even complexity in DE, and if so what does it do?

B- How much is it worth?

Oh and I just found a Tracking Droids +1 tape, but im guessing this is for bounty hunters,,,,?

I am a very fortunate man. I actually do have a Droid Assembly +1 tape. My brother handed it to me and I just about had a heart attack.

I was floored. Even though I'm a gimp DE, it's nice to know that my assembly is just a tiny bit sweeter than before.

Yes the tapes work well. I have a combo of +5 in experimentation tapes. Before our skill was finally changed to 100 we were set at 55, so my extra +5 got me an extra experimentation point. It does seem you need sets of 10 points to get an effect, though it's harder to tell with skills like Assembly.

As to complexity? I don't believe this is a skill we get off the bat, so I don't know if the tape is actually helping you. I would guess not, at least until they add the skill (if they plan to at all, could be a scrapped skill from Beta).

I saw one of these tapes for sale on a vendor, and I decided I wouldn't buy it(was 10k). Glad i didnt!

The tape won't actually do anything until you have at least a +10 in the category it enhances.

Where do these tapes come from? I haven't seen one on a vendor or an NPC drop yet. Are they off really high level mobs?

They tend to be random drops off of pretty much any type of NPC, however the drop rate and bonuses offered are much better on higher level NPCs. I currently have +6 Droid Experimentation, +3 Droid Assembly and +3 Droid Complexity. Experimentation doesn't really mean to much unless it is in +10 increments. Droid Complexity lowers the schematic complexity by 1 for each plus

I've used one with Droid Speed +5
