Rather than ripping the devs a new one, why not try to be constructive. They have not said "There will never be combat driods". They have said they want to make sure the implementation of combat droids is reasonable. As a developer I am glad to see a group of developers make this kind of call. Would you rather them slam in a clone of CH and pets and then have to nerf it in two publishs?
Let's ask the developers what they honestly expect to deliver for DE with this publish. Is it only bug fixes?
And let's make suggestions that we would like to see them deliver in future publishes.
I would like to see better modules and the modules that exist work better.
Repair Droids shouldinclude a repair module.
Inventory modules should be allowed to stack. Each module should open seperately (like having packs stacked).
Armor should be treated as modules.
Binary Load Lifters should have three modules and Adv BLL should have five modules.

Two ways to make cl 10 droids very useful
1. let me heal my droid. My probe with its level medium armor and 40% resists has stood up to kimiogillas and held its own but since I could not heal it the outcome is inevitable. With the ability to heal probe droids are perfectly good lil tanks and far better than non ch critter pets.
2. Make batteries last one hour at very least. There is nothing like getting jumped only to have your droid not help you out because he is low power and not being able to add power because you are in combat. The battery usage is simply to fast and to annoying as it currently stands and this is from a person who has made a lot of cash with making batteries.

- Repair droids not counting against the one pet called limit.
- Advanced batteries with extended charges.
- An optional ehnanced battery bay module in certain schematics that will hold an entire crate of batteries. This would be a convenience that many people would pay a premium for, as the act of recharging droids is a pain in the butt that most people tire of.
- Hey, let architects make the droid engineer props seen in the droid engineer NPC trainer labs, so that droid engineers can purchase them to put in our labs/shops. The gutted droids with arcs and blue discharges looks super cool... let us have it too.
- Protocol droids in all shades of the rainbow.
- let storage bins for the BLL be animated externally on the forks, to show that it is carrying a load. This would look cool, and enhance their use as mules once they can hold modules.
- Create tender droids that could be stationed at harvestors. These droids could deposit maintenance and energy, and/or send owners an email if the harvestor stops for any reason. If small enough... say, MSE orseekerchassis, they could be internalized into the harvestor to avoid persistency issues when owners log out.
