I get requests for this from time to time. I refuse every time. I will not put high end modules into a mouse droid, it's bad business and screws every DE on the server. If someone wants 10 item storage then they can buy a probot or R2 or R3. Level 4-6 modules should not be allowed to fit in anything but an R4 Advanced or better. If you are a DE and making these, then you are a disgrace to the profession.

i agree with darthbokai totally.

its rediculous when everyone whines about balances and fairness, that there are no restrictions what modules go in which chassis.

i agree also

i dont put high end modules into low end droids, only if customer loves that droid chassis and want it badly, but then for same price as the normal one i configure with that modules.

we are borked enough and should not destroy the little buisiness we got left.

there should be definately restirctions what chassis can hold what lvl module, but well first fix the modules lol

I never really thought of putting a level 6 storage mod into a mouse...seems like a general waste of time, really...but can someone explain to me - and talk to me like I'm a 4-year-old, because I'm a bit slow at times - why it'd besuch a disgraceful and dishonorable thing to do? If someone wanted to pay me what I'd be asking for such a little beast, why turn a way a customer?

Don't flame please, I'm seriously asking this as a legitimate question. I haven't been a Master DE all that long, and there are some things I apparently just "don't get" yet.

kaarde,

i will try to make example. droids hold almost forever and they supposed to have a use (well most dont or are bugged), but isnt it normal way to have good stuff in good droids.

i will try to make example.

if you buy a car and get the smallest FIAT, would you put a 200PS engine in it. normally not, the beter engines arew in better cars. prolly this example isnt fitting well enough but well cant think about better one atm.

but bottomline is, a mouse is freaking cheap to make and if u put in a high end module the functionality is totally same as a expensive R2 unit. since they hold mostly forever u would ruin your own 1 time business when u do so.

the devs simply forgot to add some restriction so i make the restrictions myself

but for the question on customer turn away. no you should not turn away, but keep in mind combat chars make way faster cash then crafters (dont flame, cause i got also a combat char and know what work vs cash is there).

so if a customer wants a mouse cause he/she loves so much the cute mouse then he/she would pay also same cash for it then for R2 unit, in that case i would roduce it for sure. but to spoil ppl with cheapest stuff cause they just want best functionality vs lowest costs, then i refuse it.

imo a high end droid needs a higher chassis, thats all.

its more a personal opinion then a must, but i work this way, so i dont ruin my own market

Well, I have to say I loathe this person for trying to dupe our own DE members into selling a very valuable commodity for cheap. But therea few small lessons that can be gleamed here.

-Instead of an L6, two L4 modules would work, but would also take motivators.

-MSE droids are the cheapest of all droids to make.

-No reason why you can't sell these droids for 20-25k a piece with the same advertising slogan above (removing the '20 deaths' comment). That's 100k-125k for a set of the cheapest droids in the game to make. Not bad, if you ask me. It especially works if you offer them as a combo purchase deal in a brochure (say 5 MSEs with storage for only 85k, or 90k). True, they won't sell nearly as well as they would if you sold them for 5k a piece, but surprisingly people will buy them. At least, was my experience in the matter.

(a little link to demonstrate what a half decent brochure looks like, if you haven't seen the method of selling before)
