Thread: Biggest screwjob in MMO history, what the hell do we need more clvl 10 combat droids for
Well, I was going to come in here and one star you based on your subject title, but you do have a point. Getting fixed this far into the game is absolutely rediculous.
However, I am all for getting more lvl 10 combat droids. Probots are getting old. I want droidsthat do specific damage types, ones that have high HAM and really low damage output, maybe a one hit wonder that does great damage but crumples like tin foil.
I want the Devs to come up with a real way to implement REAL combat droids for the masses like so many have have put proposals out for. Get with the program SWG and put them in. Make combat harder if you have too. Droids are a big star warsPLUS, and you are bashing it into the dirt with all your goofy priorities and turning it into just another "fight crap and level" MMPORG.
However, if you are asking for the DH profession to be reconsidered....I have to put that one star here and call you an idiot.
that is exactly where anarchy online failed, it turned into a fight crap and level game after all the "balancing proffesions and priorities"
AO is dying and with theyre supposed game of the year last year with shadowlands doing more harm than good to the game starwars galaxies looks like its on the long trip down to meet AO.
I have been the strongest advocate against the DH profession.
I believe you can make a 'mini dh' profession.
Whenever you get Ranged or Melee mitigation 1, 2, or 3 you can go to a DE trainer and get a certification for a higher level droid.
This way, to get a high combat droid, you are spending 1) credits and combat experience (you buy the cert like a normal skill, not trainable) 2) you must have combat skills to use it (to use a lvl 3 combat droid, you must have Ranged or Melee mitigation 3).

First we were susposed to get a whole invasion of new droids this month. That is gone.
Einsteins like you are the reason we're not getting greater than CL 10 combat droids for at least 2 more publishes. Great job genius! Keepup the self-mutilation. Who knows, maybe you guys can delay high-level combat droids till 2009.

I think two patches focused on combat droids would have been a sign that SOE is aspiring for no more than mediocrity. Utility droids have the potential to actually be innovative. Maybe the devs are getting ready to give the non-combats some content for a change.

People like me gave us a chance.
Now we are NEVER getting high level combat droids. We are getting stupid probot clones that will be weaker than creature pets.
