Oh, just take what TH says with a grain of salt as I do.
At this point, I could list a half-dozen "excuses" or "decrees" about something that just isn't true.
Don't get bent out of shape about it - because his statement, as we know, just isn't accurate.
Droids already give stat bonuses - a medical droid with level 6, even used in a Medical Center, gives a 10% bonus to medical stats.
TH himself has said he is pushing for "slicing" droids - what in the world would a slicing droid do if not give a bonus or ability to slicing? Make a "buzz buzz" sound?
Really, I've come to this new appriciation of TH this week - "/nod, smile, wait for the real info".

However, do not expect a bartender droid -- they may have the animations for a bartender R2, but I think it would be out of balance for us to get any new and cool droids. I think the pure crafters are against this too which is understandable, after all chefs have combat implications as does the future "Food Eater" class.

Agreed, and this is the major thing we need to take from this, IMHO.

Once again...you're very correct. TH has shown that his understanding of a lot of issues is simply falling short.
I think he has a considerable amount of credibility loss, especially in the crafter 'camps' of SWG.
Us DEs are a particularly nasty crowd at times, in terms of being able to bring forth experience and details.
It's only understandable that this would happen...with only ONE Community Relations person really in place. I'd actually think they'd be better with like 5 total, to be honest (and just make sure that THEY are in-the-loop on different playstyles and subsets of the game). Is anyone but me really kind of confused by the lack of anything like "Product Specialists" that are out there droid CR work?
