Hello fellow DE's
, so time to spill your secrets. I've checked the bazaar, every resource vender I can find even did a please help on Tempest threads. The most I've gotton is that this has only showed up twice
. So how does a new DE find a resource like this to start making her droid
. I must admit while I knew this would be a difficult profession and though I was prepared for it, but finding out every time I get close to ready to start making my droids I find either a resource or component I can't get. How do DE's do it? Sorry to sound so down, just a little disappointing was really hoping to make some this weekend

Your best bet is probably to start networking with other Master DE's who have been around a while. Find out if you can purchase 1k of it off of them or maybe offer something else in return.
I found out a couple months ago that a lot of weaponsmiths do this a lot...trading one rare for another rare and both of them stay in business a couple weeks longer until something new comes in to replace it.

Well.. depending on how well it is "fed" by players, you'll find that www.swgcraft.com may be of some use in locating resources that are available. However, be warned, this site depends HEAVILY on input from players in order to be accurate.

Once it pops up once you should be able to pull in as much as you'll ever need since you don't need much. As it is, you're best bet is to just make droids with 2 level 4's, it will give you the same quality as a level 6, just takes up extra module slots.

Wow really, so if I use 2 level 4 storage devices it will equal the level 6 storage? That's wonderful, thank you for the great advice
. Actually I have a tailor friend that is on the lookout for me too, he says that once it shows up he'll drop every heavy he has on it for me, he's such a sweet heart

look for a DE that is quitting, there are quite a few on all the servers.
I picked up 620k of some sweet resources for 1 cpu from a MDE who was quitting. Though ive been using them more for armor than droids.

My crafter is both master DE and master WS. I need everything. Networking with others in the profession and being in a good guild are what lets me survive. Trade, give stuf to newer crafters who'll then look out for what you need. There's a guy I don't even know who /tells me frequently to ask if he can help me out with any resources just 'cause I've helped him out a few times with a coupla K of stuf he didn't have. And know which resources are really rare. Open up your mineral, gas and chem crafting tools at least once a day to see if anything's spawned. If it's a rare and you've gotta go 10K from home to find an 80% spot, hammer it. Beryllius Copper spawned on Lowca a week ago. It's a rare for DE (data modules) and AS. Between myself and my Guild AS, we've amassed over a million units before the really sweet Ionite ore spawned. Then we moved our harvies to hammer that. At the moment, there's a whole lot of rares spawning on Lowca. Even with 3 chars' worth of lots, I still need help from Guildies to get it all. Class 3 Solid Petrochem for VKs, Duralumin Aluminum for Medical Modules, Beryllius, a 963 OQ Inert Gas, Ionite Ore. I remember that I ground my way to Master WS only to find, once I got there, I couldn't actually make anything! No Plumbum Iron. But a Guildie had some extra burried away somewhere so I could at least get started.
Nothing really beats having friends in a game like this. Especially for crafters.

Lidium extrusive ore hasn't appeared on Starsider server in more than six months. I managed to buy some off the bazaar a few months ago, so it must have appeared once in the first couple of months of the game. I use Level 4s as often as possible to make my supply last. On my other server, Tarquinas, lidium has appeared twice since the game opened. The second time, I knew to stockpile it.
I tried to complain about this to CSRs, but they only suggest that we post it in the forums. HaHa. As we know, the devs don't read these forums.

I have a little 4k stash of Lidium I'm saving for a rainy day. Hope it lasts me until the next cycle.
