I have a character that is going to be a doctor on the Chilistria server. I went to my local DE and asked for an R2 unit with a 110 Med compad rating/ storage mod/ crating stating, but to my dismay he told me that the only thing that the R-Series could hold post patch was combat mods. Was he mistaken or did the devs take the R-Series and 'f' them totaly up?

Don't take this as gospel but I believe general modules (including medical modules) can still be used if first placed inside a combat cluster module.

he is mistaken. they changed the R-series droids so that they require "combat-capable" clusters, but the non-combat modules CAN be placed into the "combat-capable" clusters.

So could he add all 3 mods to an R2...........Crafting/Storage/Medical?

yep, the R2 can have up to 5 modules (choice between item storage, data storage, medical, the four crafting stations, repair, and combat).

but the R3 has 6, so if you want the best possible utility droid, and have the option of doing so, the thing you really want is the R3 (the clear-domed R2)
