Thread: Real Utility and Sales, Combat-bedarned! We need a real market!

ok so Devs are having a devil of a time making us DE's happy with combat droids and putting in decent starwarsy combat droids for all to use.....so the proposition!
Training modules required by all elite professions to master 1 tree. Just like a BH cannot master without us all elite proffessions should be forced into purchasing a product we make so they can master. Whether is jedi combat training drones to math practive for merchants all elite profs need to be reliant on DE's so we have a purpose, even if they make these new droids players other then BH if they want need never get a droid and have no disadvantage over a player whom does have one! Come'on gang can i get a hell yeah?!? so throw out your thoughts agree/disagree this is the real issue for DE, WE NEED A PURPOSE-TO BE PART OF THE WHOLE ECONOMY!!
well enough rant for me.
Sorry Gron. I can't support something that forces someone to have a droid.
If the Devs could just get their act together, people WANTING a droid would be enough to keep us busy, but for some (no doubt Diabolically inspired) reason, they seem not to love us enough to do that.
We shall see if things change for the better with Pub 8....in the spirit on 'constructivity' I have to say ..I am not honestly very hopeful
if Droids are required to master something, then before long vehicles will be required for Master Chef,Sludge Panthersfor Master Pikeman, and ATSTs for master Image Designer.
you know, to balance things out.

lol i see what your thinking but lets look at the facts, there are few consumer purposes out there beyond fighting, crafting, grinding and roleplaying/collectables. The modules we have now help crafters, finally starting to have a more well rounded fighting support (albiet missing armor) and in publish 8 the modules suggested thus far are not required by anyone to get anything done-oh and weve always had a good furniture market with chassis......point is this, of the market types we sell in most other then BH and medical modules are completly optional, in retrospect, a WS sells products that must be used by a fighting person to maximize that path, an doc/chef also-buffs are a highly valued/desired service, Tailors now combined with BE are selling products thatenhance peoples abilityto perform in there profession.....ok so what does all that mean, pointblank the devs/TH are telling us they dont want toadd enhancements via droids, look at pub 8 proposed modules, they dont enhance anything, ok also they tell us that they cant add higher power combat droids without a prof to handle them to balance the higher CL powers into the game...so 2 stickys spots....What im suggesting is reinforcing our roles into being part of proffession mastering so we have a more viable market, not enhancements (unless theyallow it, please god) just a way to have moreproducts people need. Well hopefully somepeople will agree, the new combat droids area great start but i think we can do even better, as far as diverse markets.

I feel for all of you DE's, but I'm not sure this is the answer.
Please head over to my post and voice your opinions if you think my idea will help. I truely believe this idea will make DEs and their customers happy. We need the devs to look at this post and consider it too:
