Here are the results of my first combat droid build:
It's an R3 with 6 combat modules crafted to 95% each.
I used 2 Armor Module 4s on it too.
1606 HAM
600 Combat Rating
Speed: 1.61
To Hit: .35
Damage: 130-140
I handed it to a friend and had him sic it on me. I have Novice Brawler with no boxes in unarmed, but I am a Fencer with some skill (i.e. I have some melee defense). I wore no armor.
It whupped me pretty quick. Doing melee damage from 72 to 126. It hit me twice for every once I hit it.
We went again with it in Ranged attack mode. I went down pretty fast again with it doing damage in the 90-130 range.
Once I told my friend about the Repair Kits he tipped me 40k and said he wanted to keep the droid.

Nobody is argueing the point that these would be useful for someone with "noob" skills. What ppl are saying is that most noobs are poor and will buy a BE pet 1st because of price. That and the fact that the same stims a player uses can be used on the pet. Plus a BE pet can be made into a mount. I did talk to a few MDE's today. Most of them said the new combat modules are better than they were before. But all of them were not pleased overall with the patch. We all expected more. Oh well maybe pub8

The HAM is dependent on the chems you use in the final combine as I'm sure you know. Theoretically at 100% experimentation these would max out at 4.5k HAM.
The max combat rating on these is 600 which gives:
1.51 speed
0.41 to hit
160-170 damage
A level 6 armor module will also cap your armor, which displays 40% if you call it more than once.

This isn't a theory this is fact. On Naritus we have 1000 OQ chemical and it produces 4.5k HAM
