I posted this on the Core Systems forum as well, but would be interested to get DE feedback on it too..
Simple enough idea, these DE Crafted droids would give person A a way to get an item (say a single item perdroid or up to 5 items, not a huge amount)to person B without them having to waste time on shuttle trips and the rest, need only be single use, like the exploding MSE droids, would also be helpful if the droid could wait "in limbo" as it were if person B wasn't online - very handy for distributing goods won on the trade forums..
Would this be stepping on anyone's toes ? I can't imagine it would be that tricky to implement, but since we don't have a courier profession I can't see it annoying anyone, did I miss anyone ?

This sounds like a very awesome feature.
I think the challenges are:
- making sure people don't use thee droids to store a lot of items by sending them to an alt who rarely logs in
- convincing the devs to implement this whole 'offline storage' thing -- i.e. right now only email is stored waiting for a user to log in
- convinging the devs that this is actually needed.
I think that between this feature and, say, fixing the talky droid naming bug, I'd go for the talky droid naming bug.
However, should our wonderful correspondent wish to slightly bump up this feature's priority in the list of "wouldn't-this-be-cool" droids, I don't think anyone would complain.

Well if you where on Intrepid you would be Missing a Hole Guild there name is UPS care to guess what they do?
other then that this would be a great feature to add as a Droid, BTW Bank tips also store til login. I can however see a way to avoid the Give to alt thing. Make it a "normal" Droid like any Data Pad droid give it a limited use like the Rental Cars have (can only be pulles 5 times) and when "in transit" it can't be used like the maintance Droid only this one stays in transit 'til the other player logs on or You cancle the Delery and get the Droid back.
