Droid Engineer Archive

As many other posts have suggested (including a few of my own) DE is now completly dead. As off today's "hotfix" the developers managed to "hotfix" DE into a state where no new droids can be called, and no new droids can built.

This is just meant as a warning to anyone that hasn't logged on yet ... don't expect to be playing your Droid Engineer character until this is fixed. It's not a "small" problem like we've encountered in the past.. its not a migrane like we encountered with the "can't tame" issue. It's a damned show stopper.

• New Droids CANNOT be CALLED ANYWHERE


• Certain (if not all) models of Droids CAN NOT BE BUILT

When attempting to call a droid outside in a city, in a player building, in a campe or even out in the wild you will recieve the following message "Pets cannot be called in a private building".

When attempting to craft a new droid (so far only tested this on R and MSE models) you will recieve the following message "Internal Server Error"

well, I took my droids off my vendor today for the first time. On my sign, I told my customers that the laws of physics have changed, rendering droids inoperable.

Maybe the Maker will someday smile on us again. :0

This only applies to the following droids..... MSE, R5, R4, R2, and R3. These are the droids that were effected by yesterdays hotfix of colorizations.

Probots, LEs, Surgicals, Protocols, BLLs, DZ70, Treadwells, Power Droids seem to be uneffected, from what I have seen so far. All of these Droids are currently buildable/tameable/callable.

OMG.... can it get any worse!? Have the dev's even acknwoleged it?

Sorry dear, but the Developers do not talk to us. Nor do they read this forum.

Never have and probably never will.


Sometimes they will talk over our heads though with comments such as "we know there are issues in that area... la la la" and then quickly hop over to another topic.
Or include us in other updates in the following manner: "Creature handler pets can now only be called inside your home (this includes droid pets)."





Bitter? Me?! ... Oh yes!

They've eventually got to get to us. This is Star Wars after all. I just hope I can cope with all the screwups along the way. I really like DE,and I really liked the colorization. It was almost like a scrap of meat thrown to a mongrel dog. Then of course they so rudely snatched it back... perhaps unintentionally, but I wish that JustG, Blair, Holo, or Q would get on this rampant propogation of bugs in untested code filtering its way to the live servers. I have postponed all my sales of droids because I refuse to take the risk of losing all the resources needed to craft every droid in the game. and that means no money for me until they fix this. And if anything they need, and I predict, will, change bug fix day to a monday. heh I also wonder if they are willing to fix the new bugs they program into it on the next day, or are they just gonna wait til next bug day? If they do something like that, it'll wear on my patience even faster than normal...

Finally Disgruntled, and hanging on by the thread of hope for the potential of DE, and of course the investment cost...

Power droids are no longer craftable either - you get the internal server error and it eats all the components - at least that's what happened on the last combine for the Adv Power Droid I was making.
