Thread: Is a chassis experimentation +4 worth anything?
That would be a Shipwright tape. As for its usefulness I'm not sure, I heard that their is not much in the experimentation of chassis that would require a extra points. But what do I know I'm not a Shipwright, Jenden is lets see what he says.
Any minute now.

its a SW tape, didnt know they started dropping.. we have7 different catergories of experimentation.. you could imagine what kind of outfits we'd have to wear to cover them all
chassis experimentation
booster experimentation
engine experimentation
adv component experimentation
power systems experimentation
shield experimentation
weapon system experimentation
i think it s brand new attchment for Shipwright.
I dont know if it works, and how much you could sell it.
what is your server?

I think the short answer is diversity. It will be extremely difficult to get all of those mods into a single suit, which means certain shipwrights will be better for specific items than others. it allows for shipwrights to target a specific market.
But ... why? Chefs aren't forced to specialize in just a few kinds of foods or drinks. Weaponsmiths aren't forced to specialize in certain parts as opposed to all of them, are they? If they're going to introduce a new way of doing things, it should cover all similar (ie, crafting) professions, not just the newest one.

Exactly. I'm a MWS and MAS and I have full +20 experimentation suits for each. They are fully functional within every aspect of those two professions. I don't need a separate set for melee weapons, and another set for ranged weapons (or for armor, a set for battle armor, another for recon, etc.). It shouldn't be that way for shipwrights either.

ACK! this isnt fair! How come chefs don't get a drink versus food experimentation diversity? Sure lump all the other crafters under 1 bonus mod and give SW 7 diff ones so we have to have 7 diff outfits with +10for each one per category just to get that extra point to experiment with. Anotherunfair move by the devs =/
