Thread: Making BH droids?

I'm thinking about becoming a DE to make some cash off of BH's, then I can progess/grind to MDE/MA. In order to get started tho, I'm thinking this is my beginners plan? Should I get :


1) DE 0/0/3/0 (?? for Anakyd and Seekers?)

2) Factory

3) Novice Merchant for 1 vending machine

4) A bunch of 33% OQ,UT metals/ores (according to sticky thread DE 101) ?

5) A bunch of harvesters/energy machines


I don't need master artisan right away, correct? And I just need DE 0/0/3/0 for seekers and Anakyds?


Any advice appreciated!

Wrong! the Seekers and Probes need Steel (might be metal and steel), and Fiberplast plus they also need 2 EGPs and 1 EMM both of which are Master Artisan items.


The Probes need Steel, Fiberplast, Extrusive Ore and 1 EMM and 3 EGPs.


So if you think you can wait on the Master Artisan think again, my factories have been working double time on the EMMs and EGPs since the CU. Also quality does not seem to have an effect on the finished Seekers and Probes. Not to mention I thought we got the schematics for the Seekers and Probes fromDE 0002

  1. You will need MA, unless you can find a friend that is one to make someelectronics for you. Then you will need DE 0/0/0/3 in order to get the BH droids.

  2. I recoment at least 2 factorys so you can run scematics of gp and memory modules.

  3. if you are just going to have one vendor just get the 0/0/4/0 in artisan and it will get you one vendor

  4. the quality does not matter in the electronic parts so grind can work for those, as far as the droids I can not remember if stats matter on those or not but i dont think they do.

according to swcraft.com this is what is required to make BH droids:


Seeker (DE x/x/x/1)
1. Requires 30 units of Ferrous Metal
2. Requires 70 units of Chemical
3. Requires 1 Electronics Memory Module
4. Requires 1 Electronics GP Module
5. Requires 1 Electronics GP Module


Probe (DE x/x/x/3)
1. Requires 30 units of Steel
2. Requires 20 units of Chemical
3. Requires 25 units of Extrusive Ore
4. Requires 1 Electronics GP Module
5. Requires 1 Electronics Memory Module
6. Requires 1 Electronics GP Module
7. Requires 1 Electronics GP Module

So MA is required, plus DE 0/0/0/3 just to get the ball rolling. wow, thats doesn't leave much for anything else (i.e. combat).

Thus the quandry of the DE community. Most of what we make doesn't work and requires a large investment in sp, needing MA and all...

Well if you go MA and MDE. You can take a master rifle, pistol, or carbines and have 4 sp left.


im doing carbines myself.

Yeah...I'm debating what to do with my merchant skills. Since I don't have 10 vendors with 4000 items, I've got some skills I can respec elsewhere. I just can't figure out what to do...shipwright...combat...Alliance Janitor...
