It appears that you can use droids to help separate groups of social targets away from each other. (creature pets can do this also.) All that needs to be done, is target something from 70m out, have the droid attack and then quickly issue the follow command. the target will start charging the droid and you can start attacking it yourself.
the key here is that the target aggros on your pet when the pet goes into combat mode... not when the target takes damage like it used to be. and when the target aggros in this manner, its friends don't notice. thus, you can pick off a whole lair one by one by pulling all the creautures out to you when you are ready for it.
is the AI behaving properly in this case?

Yea we use this with critters all the time, never actually tried it with a droid, very nice that it works too.
Makes them very handy, make sure you advertise this.

but if this is a bug with the AI, then should we be advertising it?

It was doing this before the CU, so if it's a bugthen it is a long standing one -a bug that wasn't fixed when they retooled the AIs. I've been using my droid to help me hunt by myself. If the droid gets into actual combat too close to the nest, then the other creatures still notice and attack it. I don't know if that proves the behavior is a bug or not, but either way I couldn't hunt big game alone without it.

I wouldn't call it a "bug" with the AI, I would call it poorly designed AI. As Farg said, this isn't a new thing, it has been like this for a while. The only thing that really changed is that NEEDING to pull things as oppossed to charging in is much more needed.
I don't even think it's a bad thing, it's already slow enough for solo hunters to kill things, giving them a way to pull one at a time is good in my opinion.
I don't see advertising this as a bad thing.
