ok are these things still broken? if so this is ridiculous, they were working for the first DAY. Sure they did have that "fix" a while back which actually ended up breaking all the droids thatWERE working. as far as i know they are still broken, can anyone confirm? devs need to take a closer look and fix the DE profession if they aren't

They work fine, if you are careful about what you install them in, and how they are used. The only remaining bugs are premature redeeding, and module poofing in certain advanced droid configurations.

I've used mine several times since the fix and they work fine. Idestroyed all my pre-fix structure maintaince modules. Made several crates after the fix and had receive responses back from customers that they love it. So I assume they got it to wrok too.

Structure Modules work in all Droid types. The only time that a Structure Maintenance Module will not work is if you delete a structure without removing it from the Structure Maintenance List first. Check out both of the stickies in my sig, or you can simple take a look at the same threads stickied to the top of the forum.
Remember, stickies are our friends. They are located at the top of the forums for a reaons.

True that they will work once crafted, but not clear.
There are times and configurations where the Structure Maintenance ability disappears during the crafting of the droid. It hasn't come up in discussionsrecently, but there are threads on it. It most often occurs in astromechs, but thisseems to be because the poofing is based on the configuration and placement of other modules into the droid with the SMM (most notably the Data Module for me).

Weeeeel, I'm not sure about that statement being so definitive. I've made a multi-module R3 (using all slots) with a maintenance module and it doesn't appear. This is when removing the module from the crate as well as hand-making a module. So...there's my two bits.

Then we need to do some old fashion testing on this one. I sat down a few weeks back, when this topic came up and crafted about 20 Adv R3s with different configurations of Level 3 Structure Maintenance Modules and other modules. I'll see about running another test, while JtL Beta is on Test Center, but there is only so much testing that one person can do.

My suggestion would be to test SMM and lvl6 item or data storage in the same cluster. This is where I ran into my problems. At the time, I wasn't motivated enough to throw away good R3s on testing this.

I remember running into this problem early on in publish 8 testing, though I thought it was fixed.
