Sorry if this has been asked. I've been taking a break from SWG and have not kept up with all the changes. Will DE have some part in ship components? Will the Droids they make have alot of impact? Will Droid Experimentation tapes be valuable now? Thank you for any feedback. I was thinking of making a Droid Eng way back and this may be what puts me back on that path.

All that can be said is that JtL NDA is still in full effect. When it is lifted, we can offer more information.

That would be a correct guess.

The following was asked in the last HoC about droids by our own Jenden, and is pretty close to what you are looking for. As everyone else has said, if you want specifics you need to get into beta or wait for the NDA to be lifted.

Brekkee - *Jenden-[Tarquinas]* We've been told that droids will be important to the operation of your ship, but will the quality and type be important or will just having a droid be good enough?
Lord_Pall - So you'll need a number of things.
Lord_Pall - You need a droid with a datapad.
Lord_Pall - You need to program your droid with ship commands (reinforce front shields, overload reactor, etcetera)
Lord_Pall - Then your droid can help out during spaceflight.
Lord_Pall - There's a lot of programmable droid commands
I think that was the only droid question that night, but if you check the other recent chats you can find more.
Safe to say, we will have something more to do then than we do now - which is a good thing.

I just want to say, without stepping on the NDA toes, if you arn't in beta then try to dull down your hopes and expectations. Over expectations will only result in dissapointment. Not saying JTL itself is a dissapointment, but just that we all tend to really hope for something and then feel a little let down when we see the final result however good or bad it may be.
So try to expect as little as possible so that you can feel happy about what we are getting instead of the other way around! We will once again get people rushing to us for products so have no fear in that respect. The first few weeks of JTL will likelybe a very profitable time for our community.
Like anything else with droids, I suggest you all go out and get stockpiles of the standard resources and get thosefactories churning out GP modules and Memery Modules in preperation for building lots of droids

So I'm guessing that replacing my crafting-storage-R3 with a crafting-storage-datapad-R3 was a decision that will serve me well in JTL. I'm also guessing that Mouse droids with a datapad won't help.
