Hi,
i encountered a problem, on which a forum search didnt result in a sufficient answer.
I´m a master DE and tried to craft a good Quality Creature Harvesting Modul.
i used 999OQ/534CD Steel, 883CD/959OQ Copper and 989OQ inert Gas. I also tried some other combinations with higher CD then OQ Copper for the modul but i think this would be my best combination i can get.
When i assembled my best result was 23% and my experimented best result was 84%, which is a 17.xxpt Rating modul.
My goal was a R3 Droid with 110+ harvest bonus with all modules together, but i calculated some time and found out that because steel caps at 650CD, the max rating for such a droid is 108.96 and the max rating for a modul is 18.16. I have read the Droid 101 Thread and it says the max rating would be 20, which is correct but if i didnt used the wrong calculation system, someone would need 1000CD Steel for that, which is as far as i know not existent.
So my question is:
Is my calculation System wrong or is it a fact that the Harvesting modul cannot exceed this values?
thanks for answers

No, you are not wrong, 20 is the theortical maximum, but since Steel has always been capped at 650 CD, it is practically impossible to achieve....at least that was correct until Publish 11 was released.
You are going to want to keep an eye out for Hardened Arveshium Steel from here on out. It should spawn on one planet each shift, like other JtL added resources do. The great thing about this new type of steel is that it doesn't follow the normal characteristics that we are used to seeing with steel. It would appear that Hardened Arveshium Steel can have a Conductivity of 1000.
While in Beta, I was able to get two shifts of the Hardened Arveshium Steel. The first shift was 801 CD and 959 OQ. The second shift was 847 CD and 693 OQ.
With this new steel, we should eventually see 19+ rated modules as 'common place'

Thanks for the fast answer and the advice. I will take a look at the steel you mentioned.

Drashk is correct, but at the same time, there have been cases of people getting really good assemblies and experimintation and making 19 rated modules.
It is unclear if this is a bug or not though.

I think its a bug.
I used the same Ressources and all assemblys were great successes, but one time i got 26% and all the other times i got 22% and yes they were all only great successes. This lead to an finished experimentation value of 82% in all cases except the one that started better, which ended in 91% and also in this case there were only great successes during experimentation.
