Thread: Created a 109 Creature Harvest Droid Last Night!! IT RULES!!!!!!!!!1

Last night Need and me were messing around in the workroom and he crafted out an R3 with 109 creature harvest level. I think each module was 18, i was getting 14 on mine but he had lots of uber resources cause he's an old school crafter.


Soooooo..... I took it out to test. I had 3 of the harvesting boxes, it got like 28 units MORE then me, then I went down to novice scout and it was getting like 30 units more then me!! Now this was on Ranchor Youths.. so ya know I'm sure the amount is lower on lower mobs but the point its, wow I can save myself a lot of skill points and still get a lot of meat/hide/bone.


I am very impressed. However I think it's very silly to have to stack 6 of these things to get this, there is no room in the droid for even a storage module.... If i maxed the modules out at 20 per that would be 5=100, but sence 110 seems to be a number we all like you would still want to use that last slot to get to 120. I wish they were slightly more powerful each (a higher cap) and that we knew for sure 110 was the max or something, so we could have atleast 1 other module in there.. storage or something..


Also, so not group with your R3, he will run away like a chicken every single time you get agro.

Thanks for mentioning the not grouping thing starphire, it was getting on my nerves when the droid pulled aggro.


PS hint for you in return, eat your veghash and the droid gets better. Stupid I know, but what the heck?

Im glad people are seeing the real benefit to these modules. Other people complain you need at least novice scout, but then if you have novice scout, having this droid is actually giving you skills in the Hunting line for FREE!


It would be great to nail down the actual percentages for each level of hunting that a person may have with the module ratings. I read a post on the scout forum that was pretty good:

as stated is this guy's tests, it is a sliding percentage. Someone with a lower hunting skill such as a novice scoutwill see more benefit from the droid than a Master Ranger for example. It be good if we could reverse engineer the module and get a simple formula based on the skill of the scout/ranger.

I did some tests last night with a person with Hunting 4 and another with only novice scout.


They traded off the droid and harvested same item from same type of creature.


Here is result:


1 harvesting module:


Novice: 9 Droid:9


Hunt 4: 11 Droid:11


2 Harvesting modules:


Novice: 9 Droid: 10


Hunt4: 11 Droid:11


3 Harvesting Modules:


Novice: 13 Droid: 15


Hunt4: 12 Droid: 12 (this was very odd)


6 Harvesting Modules:


Hunt4: 18 Droid: 20


(Novice had to leave so I didn't get this tested but I speculate that it would have been the like 16/20)


From this if you can see unless you deck the droid out with all 6 harvesting modules a hunting 4 or master scout really gets no benefit from just a few modules. I have tailored my droids something like this:


Novice to lvl 2/3 hunter - 3 combat 3 harvesting


Hunting 4 or higher - 4 combat 2 harvesting (this prevents an actual drop in amount harvested between you and the droid)



Opinions? Anyone test also and see anything different?
