Hi guys/girls
Sorry if this is a repeated question - but with the JTL expansion what are people selling flight computers for?
Currently I can build v1 and v2 computers and presumably there is a demand for them.
Many thanks
Art.

5k per level?! I presume you sell more of the higher level ones the the V1, V2etc. I cant sell them for more than 1k per level.

I copied my price scheme from someone else, I can't remember who sorry:
V1 2k
V2 4k
V3 8K
V4 16k
V5 32K
V6 64k
Astromechs from version 1 to 4 I sell for 1k more then a computer, they are basic R4s with only an unexperimented data module. V5 and V6 astromechs vary.

I start them at 20k, and increase 5k per level.
They sell quite well.

I'm currently selling mine at:
v1 = 10k
v2 = 20k
v3 = 30k
v4 = 40k
v5 = 50k
v6 = 60k
Nice and simple.
And I've been selling very well at this pricing schedule.

I am finding these prices hard to swallow. Your selling a 'Novice DE'V1 Flight Computer for 10,000 credits? Just the Chip right?

Damn straight.
For the first several weeks I was selling at 20K/level, and this weekend I restocked and have reduced it to 10K/level for v1-v4, and 15K/level after that for v5 and v6.
I've sold hundreds of them.
Sales have been steadily increasing as more people get JTL and work their way up the skill tree (which is taking many people weeks or longer). As a DE I've learned that these sales figures will not last forever, and you can bet your bottom credit that I'm going to make as much as I can for as long a period of time as possible. I sell five v2's to make 100K - people that sell for 1K a level have to sell 50 to make that much. I know which I prefer.
These are indestructable objects. We play a game where people pay 15K for a buff that lasts three hours. These prices are not unreasonable at all if you get out of the "CPU" box and start pricing things by function and not imagined value of resources. Same with the chips - I sell them at 10K each. Crates available with no price break (i.e. crate of 25 is 250K). These too are indestructable, and there is quite a resale market popping up for burnt chips. Why shouldn't we get a piece of that?
I feel bad for those people that value our products so low they will sell for 1K/level - if they are happy with the profits, that's fine; however, in a lot of cases they are the same DE's who cry about the DE economy. They are making their own bed.
The DE economy needs decay, but it's still great if you value yourself and your products enough to price them what they are actually worth to people. I've made well over a quarter billion credits with this philosophy since the first droid publish, and to be honest I'm only really a part-time DE. It doesn't bother me - I'm very happy with my profits. However, I do feel bad for those people who want higher profits but are afraid to charge more - if you sell it, they will come (and buy).
