Does a +20 exp suit help much with DEs?

I'm not a DE, but a friend of mine is..I would like to buy the suit for him, but dont know if it is some thing that would benefit him after putting the credits down....any thoughts?

Would you guys benefit from this? or is it more of a waste of credits....

Thanks for the input!

Yes, we would benefit from it, but only little.

Almost all items can be maxed out with 10 points, but 12 would make it a bit easier.

And they would help much in creating in ISD's (interplanetary Survey Droids) and repair/reconstruction kits, as these items have multiple lines to experiment.

So, dont blow out all your money for the suit.

I concur with my colleague on this one. It would help a little, but it's not worth a fortune.

In my opinion, the biggest help would be in recovering from a "good" success without trashing everything and starting over. The majority of our items only have 1 worthwhile experimentation line (Effectiveness) and everything else is moot. 10 points can max that out, but a couple extra points would be handy for recoveries.

Plus the rare situations like he mentioned where there's more than one line this would be useful.

Worth having, yes. Worth buying at a fortune, no.

I diagree with my esteemed colleague. I find the extra two point of experimentation an edge over the competition, not to mention the marketing factor. Your repair/recon kits will be of higher quality, you will make better stimpack holders, etc., etc. I have a wookiee sage shroud with +25 experimentation and +25 assembly and I display in my shop when I'm not using it. For the customers that understand, they can see that I am dedicated to my profession.

So my point is, value is in the eye of the beholder. I think the extra cost is worth it. Others might not feel that way.
