I've been pokin round here a bit, make sure I didn't see this same question. But, if I was a tkm/master artisan/mde/some merchant, could I make money of droids? And if so, would it take forever to collect the resources like some other classes? I read someones post about corbantis, but I would like some feedback from MDE's from Bloodfin if possible. I'd like to casually craft some cool droids, and our guild is actually in need of a DE so that helps.

It is possible to make money as a DE, you just have to have a set plan, know what your market will be and go with it. It doesn't take a lot of resource to be a DE, but it might take a while to get the specific ones you need. Learn the modules, think of your friends and the people you know (you'll be serving their needs first). Don't expect people to come to you with what they need. Most of the time you have to tell people what droids can do for them, since they honestly don't know.
I'm here to tell you it's possible, but I'm not about to tell you how, since every DE does it differently, and you will have to come up with your own ideas of what you want to make and sell.

I think the key here is that to make good money at being a DE, you have to spend time at it. It's really not a job for part timers. You have to keep up with required resources and parts. Keeping GPs and EMMs in your inventory is almost a full time job in itself!

I think I am best suited for this question.. I am Master TKA, Master DE, Master Artisan.. I make very nice money selling JTL items, and BH droids.. I have been a DE for several months now (longer than I have been TK) It does take time.. Like just now I can start making combat droids because I got my hands on that high quality copper.(the one with the Japanese-like name
)Anyway it does take time and hard work (4 factorys going while I grind Jedi on Dant) but for me it was well worth the wait.
