Greetings my fellow Droid Engineers,

after the increased battery life change has gone live i have tested with the help of some friends the old idea to have a few Tank Droids (AD R3 with Autoheal 98-100 and one combat module) acting as a droid horde against even high level enemies. It works better than ever. While the enemy fights the droids (which heal faster thanit can damage them) you can snipe safely without ever taking damage and your droid can hold its own quite well. Its important that all droids stay within the general area so that their autoheal adds up and every droid benefits from every other droids autoheal function.

An old problem was that during long fights the use of the autoheal function depleted the batteries quickly and recharging was not possible during the fight. The use of a power droid to circumvent that was ackward and rarely used. Now the droids last even through long fights. And if you have some droid repair kits handy its a cake walk.

Tests :

3 droids against 32k enemies in geo cave. No Problem.

5 droids against Kimogila 72 k. No problem.

1 droid against 9.2 k stormtropper squad leader in Rebel Themepark ... takes a bit, but he whittles the ST down.

Summary:

Even weak fighters (like me : Master DE/Merchant/Artisan) can take down higher level enemies with the use of tank droids now and theoretically can take on just about everything in the game when combining multiple autoheal droids in a droid horde attack (imagine 20 droids combining autoheal :-). And without a danger to the droid handlers too. Its also a great way to solo the themeparks.

I soloed the Imp and Jabba theme parks with one of the old craptastic 800-ish HAM, unhealable Probots, and maybe 2 boxes in the TKA tree, many moons ago. Gosh, this makes me feel old.
