I'm not entirely sure where to post this, but since this is the Droid Engineer forum, it looks like the right place.

I think that we should have some real combat droids. I'll explain it through a little story. Earlier today, I was driving to a DE's shop to buy some Arakyds. Once I had picked up a few crates, I walked over to the Combat Droid vendor and found mostly two sorts of combat droids... probots and LE Repair droids.

Does anyone else see something wrong with this? Our best droid fighters is a REPAIR DROID. The other option are Probot droids, who are survey droids anyway with a light-duty blaster strapped on it. We need some real combat droids. Not necessarily battle units like the SBDs or Droidekas, but something more combatish. They should be fairly SBD in appearance but not in strength (since it would be massively overpowered.) You could also be able to equip weapons to it, although there would be a very limited selection to what he could carry (lower-end weapons, not high end stuff like Proton Carbines or Elite Carbs.)

Of course, it would have to be balanced... maybe it would suck power immensely or something. But I think the addition of USEFUL combat droids would make SWG more flavorful.
