What skill do I need to get whatever I need to make the droid chassis and the module to create these?
Thanks in advance.

I think you need Master Artisan parts too.
Experimenting with 12 points helps as well.

Geesh, what is with all the "what's the minimum I can invest in your profession to get what I want" posts? Just look at the skill trees in-game...ctrl-S...click on DE. Take thirty seconds to look through the skill tree. Voilla.
Then again, this forum (and other crafting forums) are so dead these days, I guess we should be greatful for the interest.

If I had to make a extremely judgemental comment, I would say that people are re-specing their previous "Entertainer Alt" into a crafter in a attempt to make "easy money".
Of course, that would be me assuming the worst about the SWG community at large.

Hey, that's what I did man. Which of course makes me a total hypocrite I'm sure - but then again, I just respeced into Pistoleer and haven't gone into that forum asking, "What's teh best special to spam?" hehe. I checked the skill tress and read the stickies myself.
What else is there to do but respec? For me, it was that or quit totally.
I respeced my DE skills to Pistoleer and am now Master Rifle/Master Pistol/Master Marksman. I respeced my Master Doctor/Master Dancer to a Master DE/Master Merchant - and clicked cancel. Got a couple of days left.
I don't think it was dastardly, I think it was common sense to be honest. From the Global Vendor Search until the CU was just one big downhill drop. It wasn't too long ago I was posting about how good DE really was - about how many DE's just weren't using it to full potential. But now, with so much re-broken (or even broken for the first time) after two years without a single lapse in my Master DE title (even during hologrinding I never once dropped Master) I just saw no hope of return.
I've insured against it by making my cancelled alt a DE - if they actually fix DE I'll become active again. I'm just not holding my breath, and the one thing I think that kept this game from completely folding was respec - if they hadn't the hemmorage would have simply killed the game. At least they kept people like me who aren't big fans of combat but since they let me become level 80 I'll hang around and shoot at stuff for awhile to see what they end up doing. It was a bribe, plain and simple - and I took it. Well, 1/3 took it - since they now only get $15 a month from me instead of $45 (since I also cancelled my Smuggler since the fabled revamp has failed to appear after two years of blantant spitting in our faces).
I really don't blame those healers/entertainers/crafters who respec'd - though we are all paying for it because of the lack of support players these days. When the ship is sinking, you grab on to whatever will keep you from drowning - even if you know it's only going to temporarily hold. I can say the same for my interest in SWG - respecing has bribed 1/3 of me to stay a bit longer, but who knows how long even that will hold out.
