Thread: Why can I not rename my droids?
bump
Please if you have any insight. I must get re-organized by renaming my droids! =p
1) Capitalization
2) No numbers
3) No more than 25 characters, no spaces
The name filter applies, of course. "Bob" is a good test name. And as Straker pointed out, sometimes you need to use more than four commands. Don't know why.
Tried over and over with "bob"
Umm if i set patrol point as "patrol" and I type:
/say patrol
I get the msg "Patrol point acknowledged"
However when I type "bob patrol" I get no such message at all... (trying to rename as bob).
Thx
First, I assume you know how to program (select the commands from the Radial, a "?" will pop up from the pet/droid, then the next thing you say will be it's command and it will acknowledge it with a "!".
1) Program a droid command with the name before it (meaning instead of programming the command Stay with the verbal command "stay", use "bob stay"; so if you left it this way, you would have to type "bob stay" to get it to Stay)
2) Do this is four commands (double-check in the datapad that it's getting the commands right)
3) After the fourth programming, a "bob?" should pop up from it and its name will change
4) Reprogram the commands to whatever you want and the name "bob" will stay
Hope the helps.

Are you calling the droid indoors?
If so, try stepping outside, to see the light of day, and call the droid again.
Droids, and all pets, are behaving oddly, when calledindoors. They are not learning commands like they should and often lose all functions.
Rasal thanks so much, Your response worked perfectly.
My problem was I wasnt programming the new commands with the new name, I was simply /say commanding the new commands with the name before the command. So u must use the new name with a re-programming command.
Thanks!! 8D
