Thread: What is the point of a stupid droid?

I cant make a droid that uses it yet i guess, but I see the stupid personality module as a schematic. Why would you want a stupid droid?
Also, since i just have novice, what do you recommend i craft that I would need for future schematics (take the stupidity module as an example, is there a 2nd or 3rd level skill that i would earn a schematic that requires this module for a high demand/useful droid?)

That is only a personality chip. All it does is determine how the droid responds verbally to you. It doesn't affect anything else about the droid.

Aye... and indeed, before CU a combat droid with personlity module was perfect fun.
(My adv. LE has worshipful installed... you should've heard him.)
Unfortunately at the moment no model which can have a personality chip installed makes any sense as a combat droid, as they neither do significant damage nor can hold agro. (Only 3 modules... 
)

haha ok i have no idea what any of that means yet. man this is like a whole game of itself trying to figure out all these DE things... i need a FAQ for the FAQ itself.

It means that my droid, when i give the order to attack, says something like:
"And i was looking for long years of dutyful servitude to my master."
or
"You better run, my master will avenge me!"
and other stuff like that... 
He also has a set of comments when he gets damaged... in the run of time, it gets a bit repetive, but whoever first time saw the droid fighting had quite a good time and some laughs.

ah. thats cool. the only droids i have made are mouse droids. one does nothing best i can tell, the other has a storage module with 1 slot. very slow going...

Keep at it, the more you make, the better and more useful stuff you can put in your droids
