What is the best attack droid out there? I currently have a probot thatI had from a long time ago.

Second Question: How does one go about re-programming a droid? Like I said, I had this from a long time ago and I can not remember how to program it, or how to use it to attack for that matter.

Any help would be apprciated.

bring up the droids radial menu and u will find programming options, choose the one you want to program and click on it. the droid will get a question mark over its head. type your command phrase in spatial and the droid will get an excalmation mark over its head.

as to the best combat droid that can be debated i think. but i havn't worked with them post CU

hope it helps... and good luck

The probot is the best killing droid overall. How well it kills depends on how well it was made.

The theoretical max is 550 on a probot. With the resources available on Bria, I've been able to get 547.

550?! Well I have some Pre-CU probots that top out about 800 still.

Not really sure how when a perfectly built combat module be rated a 110. 5 of those = 550

Well I did make em almost1 1/2 years ago for starters. Things were a bit different at the start of the game for combat droids. Probots at the start of the game would fetch a wooping 1mil in credits, and could tank anything. I still have one of those monsters!

Safe to say the best answer to the original poster's question is the best possible is 547. Those older pre-pub 6/7 droids are either going to be very expensive and very rare. Odds are they are not deeded either...

I would be very interested in seeing a 800 rated probot myself.

The rating on a single Combat module has always been maxed out at 110. I know this for a fact, since I was the first DE to build them, on Test Center, during the first droid publish, when they were introduced. 1 Adv Probot has room for 5 modules. 5 modules = 550 Combat Rating.

I'm not sure what rating you are refering to, since the original Probots, made during the first month and a half of the game, never did have a Combat Rating. You may be confusing the Combat Rating with other number, which I'm unfamilure with.

What I think happened is that he is refering to the HAM of the droid. Pre-publish 7/8 Combat droids had a HAM of 820 (advanced; 810 for standard). However with the CU, the Action and Mind stats went away. Pre-publish 7/8 droids also don't have a combat rating. Therefore, the only logical conclusion I can come to is that he is refering to the "HAM" of the Droid.

Boy I made myself sound stupid didn't I? Yes I went back and looked at my old probots and its true there HAM was 800. For some reason I had combat rateing and HAM mixed up.

/em hangs head in shame.
