Hi
First I'd just like to say hello. I have been perusing the forums casually for a while but SOE have only just corrected my acount so I can post.
Quick question, and I apologise now if the answer is listed in the forum but search is a bit screwy on brov's machine, but I have an 'issue' when crafting data modules, more specifically with the experimentation.
It sems that if you get a really good result on the experimentation it makes the astromech level 1 higher than it is meant to be i.e. a level 3 becomes lvl 4. Professional pride means i make the best parts I can but it's a pain when u think you've made a load of level 3's and only the one that had bad failures stay at that level.
I only make stuff by custom order as am DE for fun more than for profit so was wodering if this is a CU issue as I never recall it happening pre-CU or just an extra 'feature SoE sneeked in and I missed on the patch notes.
Regards
Yiddo

Yes it does happen - you have to be very careful when experimenting on them, as you say it can push them into the next level - the only one your safe with is the level 6 ones!

Ok thanks, must be because it's only recently people in guild have been asking for Astromechs as our SW has started supplying programmed chips (care of a few factory runs of chips)

Actually, you can experiment on them if you know what you are doing. For example, a level 5 data module takes less resources then a level 6, so if I can experiment a 5 up to that level and make a factory run, I save resources overall.
Each data module has a vriety of 2 ratings. example levle 1, is 1-2. level 2 is 3-4, when you cross the 93% exp margin, you push it into the number for the next module. Going from a 2 to a 3 rating for example, making a level 1 into a level 2.
