Thread: A little pep-talk for the DE's out there.
"Because why we saw that little blue and white tin-can and his golden friend, something captured our hearts. It was their adventure that we first followed to Tatooine, and them we rooted for, even to the end of the films."
...and now our heroes have been relegated to nothing more than house furniture.
Wanna buy a blue R2 chassis? I'm saving up for a Cowardly Gurreck.
Well guys, I can certainly understand it if there is a little bit of frustation out there right now, and a general sentiment that we're getting nothing but the crumbs. I can't tell you how many times I've seen the last straw mentioned, or how time is running out...
It's a sad state of affairs.
But I am not here to remind you of the bad, but the good. "Why did I do this?" you may ask yourselves. Why would one put up with the frustration?
Well, I'll tell you why:
Because why we saw that little blue and white tin-can and his golden friend, something captured our hearts. It was their adventure that we first followed to Tatooine, and them we rooted for, even to the end of the films.
I cried when I saw "A New Hope" the first time when Artoo got blasted in the back of Luke's X-Wing at the end of the movie. I was seven, so don't make too much fun...
Some players fight, others make blasters or clothing, but I'll tell you what, no other profession provides anything that so directly adds to the immersion in the universe we live in. That's right folks, we manufacture STAR WARS. Even the creature handlers can't really say that.
Perhaps one day, when the ground vehicles and then the space expansion come out, we may take a back seat to the feeling created then, but until that time, no matter how borked things are. I will never forget why I do this, and why it matters to me.
I only hope my words can encourage you.

Well said my friend!
Let us not forget this is a game. Try to have fun. Ya know what, my droids dont function perfect.....I still have a blast making them. Try to have fun with what we have it will make your time spent much more enjoyable. I was a raving angry SW PHREAK whenI started this profession. I even took 2 months off from playing becauseI was so disappointed with DE. I realized that I spent too much time being mad and no time at all playing the game..... yes PLAYING the GAME. Things will all work out....in due time....
