Thread: Question about making factory adv. droid brins

I've found thatfactories will only accept the GPP and EMMchipsfrom the crate I used to create the schematic. If I try to put in a couple crates of GPP in my factory to make a bunch of adv brains then I get the message that the factory has run out of GPP. Sinceone crate only has 25 chips, and you need 4 chips of each type to make a brain, it seems I'm looking at 6 adv. droid brains per factory run max. Is this right or am I doing something wrong??

Thanks,

tip: 4 crates of 25 can have the same serial and thus be used as the same component.

yes. I load the crates directly into the factory.

I'm going to have to try this again... it would never work for me before... thanks for the info.

I'd personally like to have a crate of 1000 droid sensors, manipulator arms, manipulator arm package sets, brains... etc. You know what I mean.

Why would I want to make lots of brains, you asK?

1) when people askme what I'm doingI can say,"I'm making lots ofbrains, do you want one?"

2) why not??

I tend to make a lot of stuff in big batches just to advoid the trouble to having to do it again soon..

Off hand I think I have something like

- 75 Control units

- 50 advaned brain

- 200 Sensor

- 200 motivators

- 40 Advanced motivators (for BLL's)

And some more stuff I cant even think of atm

For advanced droid brains you need to do fairly large factory runs of GP Modules and EM Modules. If you make 100 of each (the default schematic size) that'll net you 24 Advanced Brains assuming you don't crit the one you use to make the schematic, hehe. =)

Until they "fix" it (hopefully they don't) you can type an extra zero and make a schematic for 1000. You don't have to make 1000 at a time, you can just put in the resources for 200 or 400 or whatever. For example if you put enough resources in for 404 of each type of module, you could make the schematic and then do a factory run of 100 Advanced Brains (assuming you want that many, hehe).

As for crates, all crates made from the same schematic will have the same serial number and the factory will pull from multiple crates as long as they're identical.

Yep, you have to use the EXACT same resources and components with the schematic you used to create it.

You can make crates of items larger than 25 though. You can have crates of 100 items now that they 'fixed' it. Unless there were alot of subcombines making the subcomponents, you can get subcomponent crates close to 100, and your finished product max will be limited by how many identical components it needs.

If you have a components crate of near 100 and your finished product needs 4 identical items from a crate, you'll only be able to make 25 finished items. Then you'll need to make a new schematic and start all over again.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."
