Thread: Assassin Droid (etc)
I'm afraid I'm not a Droid Engineer or anything of that sort. I have two characters, one being a Master Bounty Hunter and the other being a Smuggler/M. Tailor. I just wanted to bring up something, so I apologize if I'm just covering old grounds.
I'm really dissapointed when I see someone who has a temporary flag and a player from the opposite faction come up to them and 1 shoot there 3p0 droid. Droids have the ability to repair, but not rebuild a broken droid? (once they die, they permanently die like faction pets). I just think the Dev's need to consider this, if anything at all. A droid is made of components such as steel and such, much like an AT-ST (Just not so heavily built). I think Droid Engineers at the least, should have the ability to add at least (bare minimum) of medium armor to a droid. I think they should also make probots back to there previous strength before they were nerfed way, way back in the day. They have become inadequate in comparison to most standards of todays "tank" or back up. A simple rock beetle can man handle a probot in just about every way.
As a bounty hunter, I would love to have a profecient Assassin droid with more capabilities than the mere basic "attack" skill. Droid engineers should be able to modify the type of damage or weapon type that a droid such as a probot or assassin droid would be able to use. (Heat, Stun, Lightning, Beam, etc,) It would be a wonderous think to see a probot droid using the same form of ammunition with the same graphics as a pistol launcher has.
I suppose I don't see many droid engineers complain, but sometimes I often do wonder how you guys make your money. My tailor as a master barely makes sufficient money enough to cover the price on my resource harvesters and house. (15-17k average on a weekday) (30-50k at anchorhead cantina taking private orders on weekends). Well, I guess in all. I'd just like to see droid engineers have more variety without having to spend more points on becoming an elite-elite profession.
