Thread: TC: Question on Component Quality (thanks jenden)

For the 990 HAM Probot, was any consideration or attention given to the quality of the individual components of the PB? I have heard it stated that the quality of the brain matters not of the combat modules, but I am curious, for example, if the quality of the Micro Controler matters for the final result of the probot. Or is it strictly the resources used for the final combine for the probot its self.

Also, will my pre-7 components work with the post-7 probot schematic? (hint)

All pre-patch components work for post-patch schematics, I don't have the experimentation points to tell for sure but from what drashk says components aren't making a difference still (aside from combat modules).

So for max HAM ADV Probots, all you need is Top Notch Chemical (combat modules aside). Interesting.

Also, about the combat clusters,... does the quality of the cluster itself matter? or only the quality of the modules that go into it?

what I am driving at with this line of questioning, is that despite the new crafting rules, it would appear that in order to make top quality droids, we WON'T have all that great of a resource burden.

Of course, the repair modules are quite ridiculous. Some of the stuff required for the Ds has only spawned once on our server, and no one needed it for anything at the time. hehe.

I don't believe that quality on the cluster matters, only 90% on that though.

This also seems to be the same on live, currently. The ADV-R4 is a perfect example since, when you do the final assembly, all the experimentation values are at 0% no matter what the quality of the subcomponents. Therefore, it seems to correlate to the fact that resources primarily affect the final assembly quality, and not the sub components (combat modules and their combat ratings aside).

Yes, this hasbeen proven on live, and as far as anyone's been able to tell its the same on test still (with the exception of combat modules). There hasn't been another "night of 200 LE's" to test it out but it wasn't in any update notes and no one has noticed a difference on TC.

Perhaps we need a night of "200 ADV-R4's"? /cry
